The restaurant owner identified as Zhang confessed to police after one of his regular customers tested positive for opium earlier this month during a routine traffic stop test.
Zhang said that he had purchased 4.4lbs of poppy buds (opium bulbs) for $100 (N16,000) in August and had been crushing them and adding them to the noodles to ‘make it taste better and to improve his business’...
