The face shown above is the 'blonde PR girl' used to bring down Conservative minister Brooks Newmark in a newspaper sting.

The image of the glamorous blonde 'Twentysomething Tory' was used on a fake Twitter account, set up by an undercover reporter to entice the married father-of-five.

The Tory minister was forced to quit after allegedly sending explicit photos of himself wearing paisley pyjamas to the journalist, masquerading as 'Sophie Wittams', via the instant messaging app Whatsapp.

It is not clear who the woman is or whether she was aware that her image had been used in the set-up.

Mr Newmark resigned as charities minister last night, and today admitted: 'I have been a complete fool.'
