Teen using snapchat while driving is charged following tragic car crash(Photo)

A teenager has been charged by police after allegedly using Snapchat while driving in the moments before a tragic crash that left a motorist with brain damage.
Christal McGee was accused of using the app's 'speed filter' while behind the wheel in April.
And now police have charged her with "serious injury by vehicle, reckless driving and driving too fast for conditions".Mirror UK reports.

Snapchat's speed filter means that when the image is sent out to followers, it informs pals of how quickly the user was moving at the time the image was taken.

And in the moments after the crash McGee, 18, posted an image of her injuries.
She captioned the picture: "Lucky to be alive".
The other driver, Wentworth Maynard, needs round-the-clock care from his family as a result of the incident.Wentworth's wife Karen said: "We used to sit on the sofa and watch TV in the evening, and Wentworth would hug me.
"Now, he can't do that any more."
It was claimed that McGee said after the incident that she was "just trying to get the car to 100 miles per hour to post it on Snapchat".
