(Photos)Rome Police melt hearts after cooking pasta for elderly couple heard crying in their apartment

Italian police officers in Rome  melted hearts on social media over the weekend with their extraordinary kindness. They responded to a distress call from neighbors of  Michele, 94, and Jole, 89, who have been married almost 70 years and who rarely receive visitors.

The elderly couple were crying after the bad news they saw on television and asked why everything was so negative.NY Daily news reports..
The couple, told officers that they rarely had visitors and police wrote on Facebook that the kitchen table had just a few old grapes and no semblance of a real meal.

So, after calling an ambulance to check on the husband and wife, the officers cooked Jole and Michele dinner: spaghetti with butter and parmesan.
“There is not a crime. Jole and Michele are not victims of scams and no thief entered the house — there is no one to save,” the police force wrote on Facebook."This time, for the boys, there is a more daunting task — two lonely souls who need reassuring. They understand that just a little human warmth will restore tranquility to Jole and Michele."
