Woman charged with hiring hitman to kill ex-husband (Photos)

A woman charged with hiring a hitman to kill her ex-husband allegedly asked if he could be “made into a sex slave” instead.
Rachael Natalie Leahy was arrested on Thursday following a meeting with an undercover detective, according to an arrest affidavit.
Prosecutors say the 34-year-old, from Florida, told the undercover officer she wanted full custody of her three children.

According to ABC news, believing the cop to be a hitman, she told him one possible approach would be to have him kidnapped, taken to another country and forced in sex slavery, the affidavit shows.
Leahy was contacted by the undercover officer after police received a tip off that she wanted her ex-husband dead .
The pair met in Bradenton, in Manatee County, on August 29 where she paid half of the 'hit' fee in cash.
According to the arrest affidavit, obtained by the Bradenton Herald, Leahy realised sex slavery "wasn't a realistic expectation" and explored other options including drowning, a car crash and a fire.
The mother is believed to have specified that the hit should not involve a vehicle accident as she required certainty that her 59-year-old ex-husband would die.
Three days later, Leahy allegedly provided pictures of her ex, a cash deposit and a copy of divorce papers outlining the life insurance policy she promised to use to pay the hitman, the Miami Herald reported.
According to the police document, Leahy was reminded that she could change her mind but told the undercover officer that she "wants her kids back and she has played nice for too long".

She turned up at the agreed meeting spot and handed over $1,500 in cash, telling the hitman she wanted to be out of the country when the murder took place.

She was arrested on the spot and later charged with solicitation of premeditated murder.
