Conjoined twins celebrate their 14th birthday at hospital after being abandoned by parents at birth

Twin sisters conjoined at the head who were abandoned at birth have celebrated their 14th birthdays.
Veena and Vani have been raised by hospital staff since 2004 after their parents couldn't afford to look after them.
They have spent the majority of their life in one room, which has only one window for them to look out of and see the outside world.
Their parents, from Hyderabad, India, abandoned them after an initial operation to seperate the pair.

According to Mailonline, however, they promised to take them back if the whole process by surgeons gets completed.
But unfortunately no follow-up surgery has took place and experts say it is unlikely it will ever happen.
And medics claim the risk of surgery has increased as they have grew older

The twins are now reportedly being prepared to move out of the hospital - their home for 11 years - and into a special home.
